A Glorious Reunion: NIHAS 2025

After five long years, the wait was finally over — and what a comeback it was! The Haggai Leaders in Nigeria reunited for what became the largest, most vibrant, and spirit-filled alumni summit in our history. It wasn’t just a gathering; it was a divine encounter. From the very first moment, there was an undeniable sense that God had gone ahead of us — surpassing our plans, expectations, and prayers in the most extraordinary ways.

The summit drew a constellation of Nigeria’s finest — a powerful testament to the influence of the Haggai vision. Among the dignitaries were a sitting State Governor and 2007 Haggai alumnus, the Head of the Anglican Communion in Nigeria, Nigeria’s Head of Civil Service (the #1 civil servant in the country), leading mission strategists, a distinguished senator, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, two justices, the chairman of a major bank, a continental NGO leader, bishops, pastors, heads of government parastatals, Christian leaders, and alumni from all 20 chapters nationwide. The atmosphere was electric — purpose-filled, passionate, and pulsating with kingdom energy.

In true Haggai tradition, the summit wasn’t all about reconnecting; it was about retooling. The four robust workshop sessions addressed pressing contemporary challenges with refreshing clarity and depth. Topics included:

  • Social Media & Youth Outreach
  • My Family, My Pulpit: Family as a Tool for Evangelism
  • The Mission Mandate and the Challenge of Postmodernism
  • Creative & Innovative Evangelism in a Changing World

These workshops struck a deep chord. Participants were visibly stirred, with many describing them as the defining moments of the summit. They left inspired and equipped to lead more boldly in their spheres of influence. Each plenary session carried a consistent, Spirit-breathed message: The mission field is not limited to pulpits — it’s our profession, our boardrooms, our families, our communities. Speaker after speaker challenged attendees to see their everyday environments as fertile grounds for transformation. Through stirring testimonies and heartfelt stories, the call was clear: preach the gospel, wherever you are.

As the first National Haggai Alumni Summit (NIHAS) in five years, it was a fitting time to reflect. Chapters took turns to share moving updates on their growth, challenges, and breakthroughs. The energy was contagious as chapters and individuals with notable accomplishments were recognized and celebrated igniting inspiration across the room. It wasn’t just a review; it was a relaunch.

Beyond the sessions, the summit overflowed with rich fellowship. Old friends reunited, new alliances were formed, and conversations flowed during tea breaks and meal times. The grand closing banquet crowned the experience a night of laughter, vision, and renewed commitment to the call. The summit’s finale felt more like a fresh beginning. The Governor of Plateau State, a proud Haggai alumnus, delivered a rousing charge. His unwavering stand for Christ in the political sphere stirred hearts and ignited a fresh fire.

NIHAS 2025 did more than gather alumni. It reconnected hearts, refueled purpose, and relaunched a movement. The feedback has been nothing short of phenomenal, and one thing is crystal clear, Haggai leaders are ready, more than ever, to shine as light and lead as salt in every corner of the nation.
